Maple Soar
Give the creation
movement.
Maple Soar defines the dedicated animation role within the creative family, with a purpose separate from modeling, sprite creation, conversion, and runtime simulation.

Movement as
its own craft.
Soar is the planned animation application in the Maple suite. Its role is to bring movement into the creative process, giving animation its own place rather than treating it as the same task as shaping an asset.
A model’s form and its motion are different responsibilities. Foundry defines the 3D modeling role; Soar defines the animation role; Engine is where the running experience uses assets and game systems.
This is a product-purpose description. Specific rigging tools, timeline features, capture support, simulation tools, animation formats, or automation capabilities have not been verified for public announcement here.
Between creation
and experience.
The conceptual workflow gives Soar a place alongside the asset-creation tools. An asset that needs authored movement has a different requirement from a static asset or a 2D sprite.
Soar’s animation role does not replace Engine’s simulation or runtime behavior. Authored movement and the systems of a running world need a defined relationship as the suite develops.
Cross-application handoff and supported asset compatibility will need their own specification. This page does not claim that every Foundry or external asset can already move through a finished Soar-to-Engine pipeline.
A defined direction.
An unannounced feature set.
The Maple family is easier to understand when each application has a clear job. Soar is animation, Design is 2D sprite creation, and Morph is supported conversion. These names are not alternate labels for one finished application.
No public Soar download, price, licensing arrangement, release date, or detailed feature matrix is announced here. The purpose is defined while the application remains in development.
